Laws of the Mind

In the last blog post we addressed the third and fourth laws of the mind: Control and Belief.
We are now going to move onto the 5th and 6th universal laws of the mind. Number 5 is:
The Law of Expectations

This law states that whatever you expect with confidence, becomes your own self-fulfilling prophecy. Your ideas, visions, and dreams, whatever they may be, are the prophecies of what one day you shall become and achieve. You see, you do not necessarily get what you want in life, but you will always get what you expect! If you confidently expect something to happen, this expectation has a powerful effect on your attitude–your personality. The more confident you are in your expectations of something happening in your life, the more likely you will say and do the things that are consistent with what you expect to happen. Plain and simple–successful and high achieving people expect in advance to be successful, high achievers. It’s not something that just happens, they expect it to happen, therefore it does! The result of these high and positive expectations is that it significantly increases the probabilities that you will achieve exactly what you are hoping for. Did you ever notice that people always get what they expect?
The Law of Attraction

This is not referring to anything regarding your physical beauty or anything of a seductive nature, as the name might lead you to conclude. The Law of Attraction has to do with our being a living magnet every moment of our life. Simply put, you attract into your life, people, situations, circumstances, and experiences that are in harmony with your dominant thoughts. One of the great universal principles in the Bible comes from Proverbs 23:7, which says, “For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” You become what you think about most of the time! One of the most important habits that you can establish in your life is to keep your mind full of exciting, positive, and emotionally charged pictures and images of the exact things you want to see materialize in your life and in the world around you.
Bottom line: You become what you think about most of the time!
It can be difficult to expect the most for yourself. Many people believe pessimism and low expectations lead to less disappointment, but having high expectations is going to actually be more beneficial in the long run. Pairing these high expectations with the law of attraction, will enable you to be much more successful than you would be without them.
